Experience
I have a strong background in the field of education, including a master's degree, which helps me tutor students with confidence. I like to approach the material with hands-on activities and offer multiple examples, as I know students learn in many different ways. My absolute favorite subject to teach is math, particularly basic algebra and middle school math. I have experience tutoring elementary and middle school math, geometry, algebra I, algebra II, and college algebra courses. I know that many people struggle with math, so I try to make it as interesting and relevant as possible. It is truly something that we use on a daily basis, and I try to bring in as many real world examples as I possibly can. I have taught math over the last decade to high school students, and am now teaching math at the middle school level. I also have experience in writing curriculum, showing I have both knowledge and creativity in this field. In addition to teaching, I enjoy spending time with family, particularly my son. We enjoy museums and sightseeing in Houston, as we have somewhat recently returned to this area. I also love the art of photography and enjoy keeping fit.
